REGRET


Regret



Thirsting to again choke on the dryness,
Gulping from the cup of regret.
Useful to the wanderer in the desert
Like a sieve.
The golden bottom shot out
By bullets of words and actions:
Screamed and silent
Enacted or mere fantasies.
Fully aware of the useless endeavor
I raise the goblet to my parched heart again.
